Chinese robber goes to temple to give thanks for not being caught, arrested right after he gets back

 

Lanshan Police of Linyi, Shandong province, China captured a robber on Thursday, Nov. 13th, right after he had returned from the temple giving thanks to the gods for having eluded the police.

Is this a case of poetic justice, or is he just a really dumb robber?....(Read more after the cut)

According to reports, the main suspect, who bears the surname of Zhang, told the police that he worships Guan Gong and burns incense offerings to him every day in hopes of not getting caught.

Zhang, who had committed three robberies in total - including stealing an electric bicycle as a gift for his girlfriend, was caught at the elevator in his complex building after he returned home from praying in a temple for "good luck for not getting caught prayers."

However, Zhang, his brother, along with other suspects have been detained in jail for having stolen dozens of electric cars and tricycles.
