It's Officially Over--Ciara Splits With Future
It's officially done and dusted - Ciara has finally split up with Future that she's removing a tattoo of Future from her ring finger.
The pair, who share a son named Future Zahir Wilburn together, have been plagued in recent months by rumors that Future's infidelity. They eventually ended their engagement after trying unsuccessfully to repair their strained relationship. (see the finger pic after the cut)..

Nigeria has been listed as 125th least prosperous country in the annual prosperity indicators by Legatum Institute. Despite its latest status as Africa’s biggest economy, and its government’s claim of improved standard of living, Nigeria was not only one of the world’s least prosperous countries in 2014, but also one of Africa’s poorest beaten by smaller nations like Niger, Benin, Mali and Cameroun, an annual global prosperity survey released this week has said.
The report, published by UK-based Legatum Institute, a research organization that documents annual prosperity indicators around the world, Nigeria was listed as the 125th out of 142 countries surveyed.Remarkably, Nigeria failed to make the list of Africa’s top 10 most prosperous countries, a league dominated by Botswana and South Africa. Nigeria fell to 27 in Africa in 2014, nose-diving 22 places from its ranking in 2011, the report said.

Kris Jenner to pay Ex Husband Bruce $2.5 million as Divorce Settlement
Kris Jenner and Bruce have made it official and signed on the dotted line of their divorce papers, according to a new report. After announcing their split last year, the couple’s divorce has now been signed off by an LA County judge. Under the agreement, Kris has to pay Bruce $2.5 million to equalize things, reports TMZ.

Police arrest robbers at Redemption Camp, others
Parading the suspects before newsmen, the state's Police Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi, said they recovered a toy gun, phones and money from Emmanuel when he was apprehended. Adejobi said the other suspects were arrested while carrying out robbery attacks in some towns in the state.

14yr old boy executed in U.S. in 1944 finally exonerated
14 year old George Stinney Jnr., who was executed 70 years ago for allegedly beating two young white girls to death in Alcolu, South Carolina, was finally exonerated by a judge on Wednesday Dec 17th, who threw out his murder conviction.
George was officially the youngest to be executed in the U.S. He died in 1944, by seating on a phone book in the electric chair after he was found guilty of beating the girls, 11 and 8 years old with a railroad spike. His trial lasted for three hours and it took the a jury of all white people just 10 minutes to find him guilty - just 3 months after the girls were found murdered.

"Chicken sentence"---2 men sentenced to death for stealing fowls in Osun state
The Osun High Court in Okuku, has sentenced Olowookere Seguana and Morakinyo Sunday to death for stealing fowls. The convicts were found guilty of breaking into the home of the complainant Balogun Tope and stealing his fowls.
According to reports, the men confessed that they had stolen from him before and sighted around the complainant's house armed. However, they also confessed to earlier robbing one Alhaja Umani Oyewo in her house and stole broilers, eggs and kegs of vegetable oil from the house.
The robbers were later charged with conspiracy, robbery and stealing. And were convicted on three counts: death for conspiracy, life sentence for robbery and 3 years' imprisonment for stealing.

Speaking to newsmen in Enugu yesterday Dec. 17th, Anglican Archbishop of the Enugu Ecclesiastical Province Most Rev Emmanuel Chukwuma demanded that the Enugu chapter of the PDP, zone the governorship running mate slot to one of its members otherwise they stand the chance of loosing the Anglican Church's votes in next year's election.
The Bishops said they welcomed the party's consensus gubernatorial candidate, Hon Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi who is a Catholic but are opposed to the Catholic/Catholic governorship ticket of the party.

The prosecutors said that after his wife divorced him, an angry Charles killed his own children just to make their mother suffer. He smothered 4-year-old Savannah, and her sister Indianna, 3, after playing with them.
Though he was sentenced to life in prison, Charles is eligible for parole after 31 years. However, Charles has refused to go into details as to how and why he killed the little girls, only saying he deserves to be punished for his wicked actions.

A Chinese national, Liu Zuzhi, until recently deputy manager of Sanju Sunny Nigeria Limited and China Railway Engineering Nigeria Limited, has been declared wanted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC in connection with an alleged case of conspiracy, bribery and embezzlement of funds.

EFCC arrest Nine for Illegal Dealing in Petroleum Products

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, today at a Federal High Court sitting in Port Harcourt, Rivers State arraigned nine persons for offences bordering on illegally dealing in petroleum products. Clement Oguntuwase, Joseph Obie, Ifeoluwa Albert, Adams Amzat Akokhia, Isaac Ndidi Chima, Rafiu Momodu, Rasaq Mahmud, Godwin George, and Thomas Daniel were arraigned before Justice Lambo Akanbi on a 2-count charge of conspiracy and illegal dealing in petroleum products.
The accused persons were intercepted aboard MB SKYE by men of the Joint Task Force (JTF), Operation Pulo Shield on November 14, 2014 in Brass waters, close to Nigeria Agip Oil Company (NAOC), Bayelsa State while transferring suspected crude oil from two vessels, MT CERGEN-D and MT ELIMINA, which were under investigation for alleged oil theft.
