Niamh found Karen Branigan first (pictured above in blue-right), both from Ireland and are strangers to each other, they so look alike they could be twins.  After staging a photoshoot that went viral - Niamh Geaney was determined to track down her six remaining twin strangers.

In her quest to finding all her seven doppelgängers living across the globe; Niamh has found Luisa Guizzardi, (pictured above in black-right) from Genoa, Italy leaving her to finding other remaining five. Do you think she would succeed in finding them?...

Body Of ISIS Commander Who Was Former Saddam Henchman Is Handed Over To Authorities In Glass Coffin

The body of 72-year-old Izzat Ibrahim Al-Douri was handed over to the authorities yesterday, April 20th. He was known as an important faction behind the recent rise of ISIS and one of Saddam's most trusted henchmen. Both Al-Douri and Saddam came from the same Tikriti tribal background.

In a such honourable goodbye, he was paraded in a glass coffin and flanked by jostling civilians, members of the armed forces and the media scrum.

According to reports, Iraqi officials said Izzat Ibrahim al-Douri had died in fighting with government troops in Salahuddin province, north of Baghdad, on Friday. 

So, yesterday his body was returned to Baghdad and delivered to the Ministry of Health as crowds gathered to get a closer look at the 'King of Clubs'. The event was broadcast live on state television in Iraq.

Zulu King Goodwill Zwelithini whose remarks incited Xenophobic attacks after saying "All foreigners must leave South Africa" has asked for an end to violence after attacks against migrants in the country. Speaking with his subjects yesterday Monday, April 20th in Durban, the king said his remarks were distorted.

"This violence directed at our brothers and sisters is shameful. My speech --was directed at the police, calling for stricter law enforcement, but that was never reported. The public was instead given another side of my speech, which had been twisted and misrepresented." he said. He called recent violence shameful and vile. And urged South Africans; "We need to make sure no more foreigners are attacked.

FG, WHO Confirm Methanol As Cause Of Ondo Strange Disease

The Federal Ministry of Health and World Health Organization, say that “methanol poisoning" is believed to be responsible for the outbreak of the strange disease which has claimed at least 18 lives in Ondo state. 

Speaking at a joint press conference on Monday, April 20th, the Minister of State for Health, Mr. Fidelis Nwankwo said the disease is not in anyway related to Ebola virus disease as was earlier speculated.

"Preliminary laboratory investigations indicates that the outbreak cannot be attributed to any infectious organism, bacterial or viral. The outbreak is also clearly not due to Ebola virus disease as feared by many at first. Epidemiological findings indicate a strong linkage of the outbreak to a consumption of a local gin that had been contaminated with methanol, a poisonous material. At this stage the particular poisonous substance is being ascertained. The results of this very detailed investigation currently been conducted by the government and our partners are still been awaited and will be made public as soon as possible." he said.

The Chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association, Ughelli chapter in Delta state-Austin Icheghe-has been Killed. 

 

Mr. Austin Icheghe was killed yesterday April 16th in front of his home.

Speaking to NAN, his niece, Egunor Uviesa, said unknown gunmen shot the deceased as he was coming down from his car in front of his home at about 9pm yesterday.

“As soon as he came down from his vehicle, they accosted him and shot him on the head. He was immediately rushed to a private clinic in Ughelli where he was confirmed dead" Delta state police spokesperson, Celestina Kalu confirmed his murder to NAN via a text message “Yes sir, he was murdered by unknown gunmen last night’.”

Buhari Doesn’t Need Your Advice: David-West To Okonjo-Iweala

A former Minister of Petroleum, Prof. Tam David-West, has replied the Minister of Finance and coordinating minister of the economy, Dr Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, over her advice on how the incoming administration of Gen Muhammadu Buhari can increase revenue, saying the new president does not need her expertise.

According to The Nation, David-West, who spoke to our reporter in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital Friday, said Buhari is highly experienced in the art of governance, stressing that he knows what to do to manage the economy well.

He said that while Okonjo-Iweala supervises a Nigerian economy where a United States (US) dollar exchanges for N190, Buhari, during his days as the Head of State, supervised an economy where N1 exchanged for US$1.5.

His words: “I read Okonjo-Iweala’s advice to Gen. Buhari on how to raise revenue with interest and amusement. I don’t think that Buhari needs any advice from her on the subject. He is not new on the terrain. He is a very knowledgeable person on how to move the economy forward. I don’t believe he needs advice from Okonjo-Iweala.

“When Buhari was in charge, oil was $30 per barrel. It even went down to $15 per barrel. Yet, he managed the economy very well. Oil price is now double that price and they are complaining that oil price has fallen.

Passengers Forgot $675,000 “Change” At U.S. Airports In 2014

The US Transportation Security Administration (TSA) said on Monday that forgetful passengers left behind 675,000 dollars in loose change at security checks in US airports in 2014.

TSA said that the money, all in pennies, nickels, dimes, and quarters, was left behind in the bottom of bins that pass through X-ray machines at airport security checkpoints.

“People often realise at the last minute that they have change in their pocket before going through the metal detector. They drop it into a little round bin built into the containers that carry their shoes and other items through the X-ray machine,’’ it said.

The office said the annual amount has increased since 2008, when the transport administration collected 383,000 dollars.

TSA said that in 2014, John F Kennedy International Airport tallied the highest amount of any U.S. airport recorded with 42,550 dollars.

I Predicted South Africa’s Xenophobic Attacks – TB Joshua

A video has surfaced online showing Nigerian Pastor, T.B. Joshua, warning South Africans of a “youth revolt” in their nation which would result in deaths of “certain people”.

The clip, which was uploaded to Joshua’s popular YouTube channel Emmanuel TV, says the prophesied about the deadly xenophobic attacks spreading across South Africa about two years ago--on Sunday 28th July 2013.

Quoting TB Joshua, it reads:

“In the nation, South Africa, we should help them in prayer because I am seeing youth revolt. It will be very serious. A situation where youth will come out and… you learn that there is a protest. Some people were killed – certain people.”

“If we fail to see that there are powers that cause people to be bowed down in bondage, we are going to fight the wrong battle,” he wrote, in a statement posted on the Nigerian pastor’s official Facebook page, followed by over 1.5 million people."

Strange Illness In Ondo State That Has Killed 14 Connected To Exhumed Corpse

NIGERIA(Graphic Photo)----- 14 people died of strange illness in a Ode-Irele community in Ondo state; in  which hit the victims woke up blind, with headache, rashes on their bodies and died 24 hours later.

However, while all ears await the medical explanation to such bizarre occurrence, new reports, claims it's not a medical condition. The state commissioner for Information and Strategy explained the illness and sudden death is connected to an exhumed corpse in the community. He said people who've died so far were those who had contact with the people who exhumed the corpse.
 

The Ondo State Government is working hard to control the strange disease which suddenly broke out in the Ode-Irele community of Ondo state, leading to the death of no fewer than 28 people in the past three days.

Her family's ancestral village is in Abba in Anambra State.

Nigeria Government Considering Evacuation Of Its Citizens From SA Over Xenophobic Attacks

The Federal government yesterday, April 16th said it will consider the option of evacuating Nigerians who are willing to come back home if the xenophobic attacks in South Africa worsens. 

Speaking to newsmen in Abuja, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Aminu Wali said;

"If it gets worse it is the duty of our country to make sure our people are brought back and we are taking that duty serious. We are not prepared to allow any of our nationals to be subjected to such inhuman treatment. We are monitoring the situation and will now take action according to the situation that develops,” he said.

The Minister, however appealed to all Nigerian business owners to close their businesses for now until the situation has been brought under control.

Father Plans To Sell His Own Kidney To Fund Life-Saving Treatment For His Three Morbidly-Obese Children

An Indian father has revealed that he plans to sell his own kidney to fund life-saving treatment for his three morbidly-obese children (2 girls and a boy).

5-year-old Yogita Rameshbhai Nandwana, 3-year-old Anisha, and 18-month-old Harsh, are among the world's heaviest young children.Weighing 5st 5lbs (34kg), 7st 8lbs (48kg) and 2st 5lbs (15kg) respectively.

 

According to reports the food they eat in a week is enough to feed two families in a month. Now their 34-yr-old father Rameshbhai Nandwana, from Gurjarat, India, is planning to sell his kidney to earn the money needed to see top specialists.

"If my kids continue to grow at this rapid rate they will have major health issues. We’re terrified they will die." He said.

"When Yogita was born she was extremely weak and weighed just 1.5kg (3.3lbs). We were worried for her health. So we fed her a lot during the first year of her life to build her strength but by her first birthday she had bloated to 12kg (1st 12lbs). Our third daughter Anisha also gained weight in similar fashion and by her first birthday she was 15kg. But we only realised they were suffering from a disorder when our son Harsh was born as he too gained weight quickly during his first year. We started looking for medical help and consulted many doctors but they would just refer us to bigger hospitals that I couldn’t afford."

 Yogita and Anisha eat 18 chapatis, 3lbs of rice, two bowls of broth, six packets of crisps, five packs of biscuits, 12 bananas and a litre of milk daily.

Maid Who Abducted Orekoya Boys Arrested, Family Claims They Paid A Ransom

Mary Akinloye-23, the maid who kidnapped the three Orekoya boys at Surulere area of Lagos has been arrested (pictured below right). Speaking on a programme in Channels TV this morning, the Lagos state Police Commissioner, Kayode Aderanti, said she was arrested yesterday.

According to reports, Senior Apostle Abraham Adekunle, the maternal grandfather of the Orekoya boys, claims a ransom was paid for the release of his grandchildren

"For the eight days that the children were taken away, we did not rest. But yesterday (Monday), they called us and said we should send the money to them. They sent their account number to us. Immediately they collected the money, they called us and said they had dropped the children at Egbeda.” Mr. Abraham told Punch

The police said efforts are on to arrest other fleeing accomplices, if any.

EFCC Arraigns One For $7,920 Scam

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has arraigned Michael Akpan before Justice Kudirat Jose of a Lagos State High Court sitting in Ikeja on one -count charge bordering on stealing, contrary to section 185 (1) of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State 2011.

Akpan was arrested following a petition by one Kim Son, a Vietnamese businessman, that the suspect defrauded him of the sum of $7, 920 (Seven Thousand, Nine Hundred and Twenty United States Dollars), after failing to ship a consignment of cow horns he allegedly ordered and paid for. Akpan admitted collecting the money but did not fulfil the contractual obligations to the Vietnamese nor make any refund of the money paid to him. Besides, after collecting payments for the cow horns, he reportedly stopped communicating with the complainant.

When Boko Haram attacked a school in the town of Chibok, in northeastern Nigeria, kidnapping more than 200 girls, on the night of April 14, 2014, the people of my country were aghast. Across the world, millions of people joined them in asking: How was it possible for this terrorist group to act with such impunity? It took nearly two weeks before the government even commented on the crime. This lack of reaction was symptomatic of why the administration of President Jonathan was swept aside last month – the first time an incumbent president has been successfully voted out of office in the history of our nation.

For too long they ruled, not governed, and in doing so had become so focused on their own self-interest and embroiled in corruption that the duty to react to the anguish suffered by their citizens had become alien to them. My administration, which will take office on May 29, will act differently – indeed it is the very reason we have been elected. This must begin with honesty as to whether the Chibok girls can be rescued.

Currently their whereabouts remain unknown. We do not know the state of their health or welfare, or whether they are even still together or alive. As much as I wish to, I cannot promise that we can find them: to do so would be to offer unfounded hope, only to compound the grief if, later, we find we cannot match such expectation. But I say to every parent, family member and friend of the children that my government will do everything in its power to bring them home.
