Lol...I can't just stop laughing... I know we have our own examination problems but Please has anything extreme as this happen anywhere in Nigeria?

Recently, some Indian parents, friends and guardians were cut on video climbing high storey building to help their 10th-grade students children heat on state exams, which are said to be make-or-break tests that could transform the lives of millions growing up in poverty there.

The Picture above is from the video, I screen grabbed it. Anyway, reports say cheating in school tests is an old Indian problem.

Looks like the malpractice literally scaled new heights this week in the eastern state of Bihar. Many people and news agency are talking about it on twitter.

Dozens Of Wives Reportedly Slaughtered By Their Boko Haram Husbands Before Gwoza Showdown

Dozens of women in Maiduguri, who were forced to marry Boko Haram Insurgents have reportedly been killed by their "husbands" before a battle with Nigerian troops in the northeast town of Bama, yesterday Thursday March 19th.

According to multiple witnesses reports, who recounted the massacres to AFP said the Islamist militants feared they would be killed by advancing soldiers or separated from their wives when they fled the town. They killed the women to prevent them from subsequently marrying soldiers or other so-called non-believers, they added.

"The terrorists said they will not allow their wives to be married to infidels," said Sharifatu Bakura, 39, a mother of three, who was one of the five witnesses that spoke to APF.

Another witness Salma Mahmud recounted the Islamists said "if they kill their wives, they would remain pious until both of them meet again in heaven, where they would re-unite."

While Aba Kassim, a vigilante who fought alongside the military in the battle to retake Bama, said he saw "dozens of women corpses" in the town. The number of casualty figure were impossible to verify.

A Dog Or A Life Mop: Today on Spicy Board

There are millions of reasons to know that no one can ever fathom the depth of God's creations. Pictured above is a breed of "Dog" that looks more like a giant mop. Should I rather say "a flying giant mop?"
This breed of dog is called a Puli dog. The breed's ancestry could be traced back more than a 1,000 years to Asia.
It's a small to medium-sized breed from Hungary, known for its famous long and shaggy fur. Puli dog needs a large amount of grooming to keep the fur neat and clean because as it grows older, the fur gets even much longer and reaches the ground. It also requires a controlled matting process to achieve the desired fur which looks like dreadlocks.
Monika Wegler, a Photographer captured the moment the dog leapt into the air while it was out with its owner outside Schäftlarn Abbey in Germany.

Nevertheless, Looking funny or just all "moppy" Puli dogs have been useful as were used as guard dogs and also for herding livestock. I guess they can still perform such 'policing duties' in this century.

Its quite funny, I thought I saw a mop at first glance? What did you see?

Loneliness Increases Risk Of Death: New Research Reveals

According to new studies, "having companions in life doesn't just make for adventures, it can also help you live longer."

The Researchers say that being alone and feeling lonely increases one's chances of early death by roughly 30%.

Dr. Julianne Holt-Lunstad, of Brigham Young University, said that all need to take both feeling alone and being alone seriously.

"We need to take both seriously." The data shows greater longevity if you're well connected but we should also be concerned with the times when "others may be surrounded by others and still feel lonely." Dr. Ju;ianne told CNN
However, only 3 of 70 studies in the review calculated the feelings of loneliness rather than actual isolation. Another factor in the review, which the authors take into account, is age and disease. The average age of the participants was 66, which shows the need for further research across younger age groups. The findings are published in the March issue of Perspectives in Psychological Science.

The research further reinforces the benefits of friendships and human connection as strategies for avoiding loneliness. The Mayo Clinic advises that despite the challenges a friendship may present, the benefits have a major impact.

UNHEALTHY Friendship Versus HEALTHY Friendship; which benefits would you prefer? (Note: both would have major impact on you, is either "GOOD" or "BAD."

2015 Elections Must Hold Despite Fire Incident - INEC Officials Say

The Independent National Electoral Commission's (INEC) warehouse located at its Electoral Institute along Airport Road, Abuja was gutted by fire at the about 11 p.m. on Saturday and put out at about 2 a.m. on Sunday.

Fears among the electorates that 2015 electoral materials might have been affected were cleared by INEC’s Director of Voter Education and Publicity Mr. Wole Osaze Uzzi, who said that the fire that engulfed a part of the Electoral Institute of the INEC, will not affect the general elections.
He said: “None of the sensitive electoral materials for the presidential and National Assembly elections and the governorship and state assembly elections was affected.”
In his explanation of what must have caused the fire incident, the Electoral Institute’s Director of Security, Shettima Ngiladar, said the fire was caused by an electric surge.
“These are non-sensitive materials that have been banned in the warehouse. You will see it yourself, it is not hidden,” he said.
“It is something clear, this banned non-sensitive materials have nothing to do with the (March 28 and April 11) elections. They are old materials in store that have not been evacuated. These are old stock of non sensitive materials, like bags, envelopes, election forms which were used in 2011. They won’t be used for 2015 elections. Everything here is non-sensitive. Police are on ground and security investigation is on.” he added.

Endorse International Anticorruption Court - SERAP Tells Jonathan and Buhari

SERAP--Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project  has urged “the presidential candidates of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), President Goodluck Jonathan and All Progressives Congress (APC), General Muhammadu Buhari to endorse the global initiative for an International Anticorruption Court (IACC) to demonstrate their expressed commitment to satisfactorily address corruption and impunity of perpetrators if voted into power," in the coming general elections.

In a statement on yesterday, March 15th, signed by SERAP executive director Adetokunbo Mumuni, the organization said that:
“Such a multilateral body will be empowered to probe allegations of corruption in the spending on the fight against Boko Haram, the billions of naira raised under the Victims of Terror Support Fund, and to try other cases of political corruption such as those involving former governors that have remained unresolved for many years.”
“Given that many Nigerians have lost faith in the ability of successive governments to combat high-level official corruption and money laundering, an IACC could erode the widespread culture of impunity and contribute to creating conditions conducive to the democratic election of honest officials in a country with history of grand corruption.”

The statement continued, that; “Some statistics provide that majority of those indicted for international crimes by the International Criminal Court are in custody, facing trial, or have already been convicted. The rest are fugitives in hard to reach areas or dead. That's not a bad track record. There is no reason to doubt that an International Anti-Corruption Court couldn't do as well, and by doing so it would make a big difference in the efforts to combat corruption in Nigeria."
“Large-scale official corruption is so harmful and antithetical to the idea of a law-based society. It erodes public trust in government and permeates critical institutions of governance. But it is increasingly becoming clear that this kind of corruption is beyond government capacity to prosecute as it is unrealistic to expect ‘turkey to vote for Christmas.’ It is thus appropriate for the world nations to look at how international law can be engaged as a major component of the efforts to address the problem.”
“In Nigeria, corrupt officials generally are not deterred by the threat of prosecution. Endorsing an international court to prosecute outstanding cases of corruption will deter would-be corrupt officials from turning public office into a maximizing unit or business enterprise to make money at the expense of the interest of the public. It will also reduce unnecessary political pressure on the government by corrupt politicians who can use their wealth and contacts to frustrate investigation and prosecution."
“Large-scale corruption is not just stealing of a country’s resources and wealth but also a basic issue of human rights. In countries like Nigeria political corruption continues to kill more people than war and famine put together. We believe that high-ranking public officials who commit acts of corruption that lead or contribute to human suffering, poverty, discrimination and other serious violations of human rights are no less guilty than those who commit crimes under international law,” the organization also said.
