Out of the 27 Contestants chosen to represent each of Brazil's 26 states and the federal district Brasilia, Miss Indianara Carvalho from Santa Catarina state emerged the winnner of the Miss BumBum 2014.
Brazilian men love beautiful curvy derrieres and Indianara sure put up hers to the competition (a judging panel of six women and five men) and came out first from the 15 other Pretty bums that made it to finals. She took home £1,500 in prize money, £20,000 in modelling contracts and bag a cheque for £14,000-- is also set to earn hundreds of thousands in appearances and endorsements. The raunchy contest was launched four years ago and has become more popular ever. This year competition held on Monday in Sao Paolo, Brazil included a plus-size model, Juliana Bittencortt and 39-year-old Patricia Oliveria, who was the oldest ever candidate.
Amongst the specials of the Miss BumBum event is the threat to sue the organisers of the event by one of the contestants, Livia Santos, who was one of the finalists and firm favoirite was disqualified for allegedly hacking the voting process. But Ms Santos accused the organizer of commuting electric fraud claims she did not hack the system – but simply had her husband hire people to vote for her. She also claims they were aware that she had 'employees who have been voting for me for two months.
Commenting on Ms Santos's claim to International Business Times, the organiser of the competition, Cacau Oliver said: "She bought votes and I do not agree with that."
