Ukrainian Homeless Man with a "SWAG"

                                     

55-year-old Slavik, a Ukrainian homeless man from the city of Lviv, has made waves online with his cool and outrageous fashion choices. Although he is said to be mentally disturbed, he puts together stylish outfits using the various piece of clothing that he picks up from the city’s trash bins and homeless aid centers and changes his clothes at least twice a day and never wears the same outfits. 

Slavik also styles his hair and beard to match each ensemble, and even shaves his armpits!

He was uniquely spotted by a Ukrainian photographer Yurko Dyachyshyn, who was drawn to Slavik's amazing fashionable piece of rags while he was working on a project in the city center of Lviv. Yurko then documented every piece of Slavik's outfits by taking taking photographs of him and paying him $1 per meeting.

In describing Slavik, Yurko said: “Slavik is the most fashionable homeless in the world. He is a homeless gypsy but not an ordinary one. His way of life is different from that of other homeless. He does not carry lots of bags, nor does he rummage in the trash cans. He has a hiding place and nobody knows about it. He keeps the secret of his home.”

Yurko became much closer to Slavik that he comes at the city center where he was working to greet him, show off his new piece of outfit for the day, even his drink and cigaret and pose for a photograph. Though Slavik seems to suffer from kind of mental disorder, making it difficult for him to describe his history/story of his life, Dyachyshyn realized that his topmost priority was to maintain a sense of inner calm amidst the chaos of the city.

Yurko kept visiting Slavik every few months for two years after his project notwithstanding the difficulty for him to know exactly where to find him in the crowd. Unfortunately, Slavik was last spotted in January 2013. Dyachyshyn, the photographer has not seen him since, but hopes that they will reunite someday.

Where could Slavik gone to? Is he still alive? Lets hope they would reunite someday-soonest...
