A 20 month old girl has been severely scalded after she accidentally
tripped and fell into a large pot of boiling soup at the entrance of their
house on the evening of November 20 in Fujian province, China.
The girl, named
Xiao Ru, who is currently in a coma, was playing at the entrance of their home and was warned by her grandpa not to touch nor play near the boiling pot of soup. But suddenly, Xiao was found inside the pot after she accidentally tripped and fell into the pot of hot soup on the stove, Newsqq reported.
Xiao sustained severe burns all the way up to her chest and is now in First Affiliated Hospital of Xiamen University. The doctor said: "Up to 30 % of her body is covered with severe burns.Her internal organs are still developing and she almost
couldn't take the impact of the burns, but fortunately the family sent
her for treatment quickly. Xiao Ru will still have to face a long and tough period of infection 48 hours after her extreme burns." (read more after the cut)....
Xiao Ru's father is cancer-striken and her poor 29-year-old mother can't afford the 50,000 yuan for her daughter's treatments.
Though her very sick husband had insisted on being discharged
from the hospital and wants to borrow money to help their daughter. This family still needs all help they can get.
