Iggy Azalea bags American Music Award for best rap/hip hop over Drake and Eminem

The Black Widow singer, Iggy Azalea has beat Eminem and Drake to take the prestigious gong of American Music Award for best rap/hip pop at the music extravaganza at Hollywood Nokia Theater on Sunday Nov. 23 at LA. (Could Eminem's rap about raping Iggy in his new song “Vegas” played a role in getting more votes for her? Read here)

23-year-old Australian Iggy said: "Hip hop music got her through her childhood and inspired her to leave her home in New South Wales, Australia and move to American when she was 16. This award is the first award I've ever won in my entire life and it means so much to me that it is for best hip hop because that's what inspired me. It's what helped me as a teenager to escape and get through my life to better times, it means so much that I can stand here against Drake and Eminem and come out. Thank you to T.I. for believing in me, I appreciate it so much."
Thousands of angry fans/viewers Music took to Twitter to express their disappointment over Iggy's wining.

One said: "You know hip hop is dead when an Australian female who sounds mentally challenged wins best hip hop album over Eminem. I'm truly sick."
while other twits said "Iggy beat Drake and Eminem for best rap/hip hop...I no longer want to live on this planet."
Another wrote: "Wait how does Iggy win over Eminem??? I hate America."
However, pop singer Iggy walked up the stage with her pal and colleague, rap star T.I. to collect her trophy. "Women can the run hip hop, I came to that conclusion when my little sister, the most nominated artist won," T.I. told his audience at Hollywood Nokia Theater in his tribute to Azalea.
