The Chocolate Fart Pill: Take the pill and spread the chocolate scented goodness

A French Inventor Christian Poincheval-65 (pictured left) has created a sweet smelling pill that makes farts smell like chocolate. The chocolate pill is a new addition to his other products which include pills that make farts smell like roses or violets and fart-reducing powder for pets. And the fart pill sells at $12.50 a bottle (which is equivalent to N2,300 a bottle)

According to Poincheval, who specializes in creating sweeter smelling gas, he got the idea after a dinner with his friends in 2006 where they got booted out of a restaurant for causing a gas attack.

US: 'One-in-a-million' conjoined twins born to Atlanta parents

A delighted mom and dad in Atlanta-US has welcomed their conjoined twin baby boys who share the same the same body and heart have been born yesterday, Dec. 5th.

Asa and Eli Hamby are one-in-a-million who can never be separated - were welcomed into the world at 7.32am through a pre-planned C-section to mom Robin and dad Michael. According to a dedicated 'Hamby Twins' Facebook page are healthy and well.
'Babies are out and so far they are doing amazing,' an 8am post declared about the 9 pounds, 10 ounce children, 'Both babies crying their little eyes out!!'

Hmmmmm...wonders of nature.

Who are Conjoined Twins?

Conjoined twins are two children physically connected to each other at some point in their bodies.
The lowest odds of this happening are 200,000 to one for every live birth and around 70 percent of conjoined twins are female.
Conjoined twins are always the same sex and the form of conjoined twinning refers directly to where they are joined.
The most most frequent are horacopagus (heart, liver, intestine), omphalopagus (liver, biliary tree, intestine), pygopagus (spine, rectum, genitourinary tract), ischiopagus (pelvis, liver, intestine, genitourinary tract), and craniopagus (brain, meninges). (American Pediatric Surgical Association)
Experts think that conjoined twins come from a single egg that fails to separate.
Around 200 conjoined twins are born each year and around half die before their first birthday.

A heartmelting words of a dying mother will make you see your life anew

The moving words below are that of Claire Wood (pictured above), from Southend-on-Sea-UK. She has terminal breast cancer diagnosed a year ago. Claire doesn't know how long she has left to live and will never see her 3-year-old daughter Jessica grow but she has frozen her eggs so that husband Barry can have another child.

Read what she wrote below...

Since I was diagnosed a year ago with terminal breast cancer, I’ve learned a great many things. How the mundane stuff — the ordinary chores of everyday life — become an intense and special pleasure when you know your life will be short.
The way your heart swells with pride and love as your toddler runs from nursery into your arms at hometime. The fantastic luck in having a husband who is solid, constant, dependable.
But the lesson I cherish most lies in the outpouring of love I’ve received from my friends. For the support they have given me has been selfless and unstinting.

Perhaps it takes a crisis to fully understand what friends mean to you — but it’s no overstatement to say they have sustained me through my darkest hours, that their countless acts of kindness have carried me through the worst of times.

TECHNOLOGY: Blood Sport, an Immersive Gaming System That Takes Some of Your Blood Whenever You Die in a Video Game

Blood Sport is a new gaming system that is set to revolutionize the way we donate blood through the process that involves playing video games. You’ll be so immersed in the game that you’ll hardly notice the blood being taken from you every time you lose a life.

This is completely insane.

Two Canadian inventors Taran Chadha and Jamie Umpherson are the brains behind Blood Sport. They are well-known for gaming-related projects like Shoot the Banker, Surrogaid and Prank House.
Speaking about Blood Sport, they explained that they're “taking the consequences of the gaming world and having them affect you in real life. So every time you get hit in the game, blood will be intravenously drawn from your arm. Nowadays, most video game controllers rumble when you get shot in the game. That rumbling means that an electrical signal is being sent to the controller to let you know you’ve been hit. All we’re doing is re-routing that same electrical signal and using it to turn on the blood collection system.

Helen Waterson: The Real Life "Sleeping Beauty" dreams to be a bride one day

The fairy tale of Walt Disney's "Sleeping Beauty" is quite soothing and love-filled as "the kiss from the prince (only true love) woke the princess from her cursed slumber--but not so for Helen Waterson from Aberporth in South Wales, who suffers from a rare condition that causes her to sleep for 21 hours a day.
Her tale and version of Sleeping Beauty is heartbreaking and pitiful. Helen cannot remember her first day at school or her first kiss.
36-year-old Helen manages to stay awake for the other three hours only by taking heavy drugs with debilitating side-effects (including poor coordination, extreme muscle pain, facial twitches and melasma, which causes black patches to appear on Helen’s face). She is exhausted and in constant agony, unable to do anything more than struggle to the sofa in the little time she is able to stay awake. Ms. Waterson said:
“At least in the fairytale she got to wake from her sleep.I go through life either sleeping or feeling like I’m sleepwalking. I’ve missed all the important moments of my life. I don’t have a social life; I don’t have a love life. With this illness you don’t live, you just exist.”

ROMANIA: Panic among dozens of female mourners at their "Romeo's" funeral when they discover he died of AIDS

A total of 40 young women in a town of Segarcea, Romania are awaiting their HIV test results after they only found out at the funeral of their former lover Daniel Decu, (pictured above) had died of the virus.

Although Mr Decu-24, was registered as living with the condition, as said, he contracted the condition in a hospital as a young child, but it only became known to the public when an autopsy was carried out and a coroner's report published.

A local doctor, Dr. Cornel Stanciu, their family physician, in the town of Segarcea, in south-eastern Romania's Dolj County, tried to warn people that Decu was suffering from the disease after the 24-year-old had a relationship with his daughter. But however, kept mute when he was threatened with a lawsuit by the man's mother, Elena Secu.(Read more after the cut)...

WHO-Experimental Ebola Vaccine available in 2015

World Health Organization has stated that thousands of experimental Ebola vaccine doses will be rolled out early 2015 by Western drug manufacturers.

The two experimental Vaccines which however are to be treated as “candidate” vaccines since there are not yet licensed treatment for Ebola are vaccines made by UK-based drugs giant GlaxoSmithKline (GSK), and the other by US group NewLink Genetics --have proved promising.
Speaking with AFP, the assistant director general of WHO, Marie-Paule Kieny said “If everything goes well, we may be able to begin using some of these vaccines in some of the affected countries at the very beginning of next year." And two candidate vaccines "have given very promising results in monkeys, but monkeys are not humans," she added.
800 vials of the NewLink vaccine have been donated to WHO by the Canadian government and 10,000 doses of the GSK vaccine would be available in the coming months.
Meanwhile, the WHO’s official count for the outbreak has reached over 5,800 people infected and 2,800 dead. It is also feared that the number of cases could quadruple to more than 20,000 by early November.

The Link Between Multitasking And Brain Size

Huffingtonpost--Media multitasking (you know, when you watch TV while surfing on your laptop as you scroll through your phone) is linked to to less gray matter in the brain, according to a recent study published in the journal PLOS ONE.
But before you start panicking, consider that the study didn't determine if one caused the other, which means your time-honored tradition of live-tweeting "Scandal" might still be safe -- at least for now.
"The way we are interacting with the media might be affecting how we think, and this link seems to have a biological basis,” wrote lead researcher Kep Kee Loh of Singapore's Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School in an email to The Huffington Post. "Given that this study was cross-sectional in nature ... we are unable to say if smaller [brain regions] lead to more media multitasking or more media multitasking is causing smaller [brain regions].”
Loh recruited 75 healthy adults who were also relatively computer literate and media savvy to participate in the study. They were asked to take a survey to measure how often they spent time multitasking between different kinds of media. Then, they underwent brain scans with an MRI machine. Those who reported heavier media multitasking had less brain matter in the the anterior cingulate cortex (ACC) region of the brain, which is believed to play an important role in helping people regulate their emotions -- especially negative ones.
“Reduced ACC gray matter volumes and activations have been implicated in several socio-emotional disorders such as depression, OCD [and] addictive disorders,” explained Loh. "They have also been associated with poorer cognitive abilities.”
While Loh’s study doesn’t establish whether media multitasking caused diminished brain matter, or if people with smaller ACCs are more prone to multitasking, Loh notes that previous studies have linked media multitasking to a diminished ability to control emotions and thoughts, and smaller ACC regions have also been linked to that same inability. Still, more research is needed to establish clear links between all three things: media multitasking, smaller ACC regions and lack of emotional and cognitive control.
Loh plans to expand on the findings by conducting a longitudinal study on the relationship between multitasking and brain matter, which would evaluate the association over a longer period of time, but would still not establish cause. Meanwhile, study co-author Ryota Kanai is taking on a research project about how computer exposure might change brain structure.
While the findings aren’t enough to conclude that media multitasking causesbrain shrinkage, there’s plenty of other evidence out there that should make you consider limiting yourself to one screen (or one tab) at a time.
For one, multitasking doesn’t actually work if you’re trying to be more efficient. Psychologist and author Guy Winch, Ph.D., argues that a more accurate term for multitasking would be "task switching," because you’re going to and from one action to another instead of truly doing two things at once, which wastes energy on transitions and slows you down.
And once you’re slowed down, it can be hard to pick back up where you left off. We only spend an average of 75 seconds on a new task before the first interruption comes, according to this infographic, and it takes an average of 25 minutes to resume what we were doing in the first place. The wasted time adds up to an estimated $450 billion loss per year, globally.
More important than money, though, is the toll multitasking could take on your health and wellness. Loh notes in the study that media multitasking is also linked with poorer health, including depression, social anxiety and negative well-being.
If you want to finish a list of jobs, some better ways to enchanted your efficient and concentration would be to set goals, establish a routine, block distractions and take regular breaks.

3 Natural Ways to Get a Bigger Butt

Do you desire a sexiest, roundest booty ever?

Lyzabeth Lopez, a Pro Level International Fitness Model and creator of the Hourglass Workout says these workouts — which can be done at the gym or at home — will give your fabulous butt.

Heel Raises

Heel raises are excellent for developing a rounder butt. You can use ankle weights or resistance bands to maintain tension for better muscle growth in the glutes and hamstrings.
1. Begin on your hands and knees in a tabletop position. Drive the heel of one foot straight up towards the ceiling, maintaining a 90-degree angle at the knee. At the top of the movement, take a second to flex the glute muscles as you exhale.
2. Inhale as you slowly bring the knee back down, crossing it over the opposite knee.
Tip: For a more intense workout, do 1 to 2 minutes on one leg, then continue with another 1 to 2 minutes on the same leg, but this time extending your leg straight out. Once this 2 to 4 minute set is complete, switch legs.

Jump Squats

Jump squats are great for gaining strength and burning fat.
1. To start, slowly lower yourself into a squat making sure your knees don't pass your toes. This is called the safe-squat position.
2. Next, spring up into a straight jump and land in the same safe-squat position. Repeat this movement continuously for 30 seconds.

Single Leg Bridges

Leg bridges are great for your booty and build sexy VS model legs.
1. Lie on your back with one foot flat on the ground and one leg straight up in the air.
2. Exhale as you place your weight into the heel of the foot on the ground and drive your glutes up aiming to make your body straight from shoulder to knee. At the top of the movement, flex your glutes and inhale as you slowly return to start position. Repeat this for 20 repetitions per leg, pulsing at the top for 10 seconds at the end of each set.

Ladies, is time to sweat it out and become bootylicious divas.

Top 10 Most Dangerous Condom Mistakes (sharecare)

Don’t let these condom slipups put your health at risk.

It's not enough to just use condoms. You have to use them correctly! But as many as three out of four people don't.

That's because a lot of us have a love-hate relationship with condoms. The most common complaints? You guessed 'em: They reduce sensation, they're difficult to put on, and, ewww, that smell. But they sure are handy to have around when you're suddenly turned on. And, unquestionably, condoms can go a long way toward preventing both pregnancy and a huge share of the 19 million annual cases of STDs (sexually transmitted diseases), from AIDS to herpes, with a lot of very unpleasant stops in between.

So please make sure you're not making any of the top 10 most dangerous condom mistakes:

1) Not checking for visible damage. Nearly 75% of people never bother looking for tears or holes -- even if they use their teeth to open the packet (don't!) or snag the condom on their jewelry or fingernails, according to a Kinsey Institute report.

2) Not checking the expiration date. Yes, that little date printed on the wrapper is news to 61% of users. Not you, of course! Just don't confuse the expiration date (EXP) with the manufacture date (MFG). Condoms last a lot longer than even Twinkies -- up to 5 years for plain ones, though only 2 years or so for those with a spermicide, which gradually breaks down the latex. But condoms kept in men's wallets get toasty from body heat, which can considerably shorten a condom's life expectancy (and maybe yours). If a condom is sticky or brittle, toss it.

3) Not discussing condom use beforehand. Yes, 60% of people say it doesn't work out well when a partner springs condoms on them at the last minute. The more both partners discuss (and even practice) using condoms, the better things will go when the big moment comes. (Find out more about staying in top sexual condition for your partner.)

4) Putting it on late in the action. About 43% of students in a sex-behavior study donned the condom after penetration had already occurred. Presumably they didn't know that some sperm can be released before the final fireworks, posing pregnancy and STD risks.

5) Not leaving room at the top. It's apparently news to four out of 10 condom users that before putting it on, you need to gently squeeze the tip of the condom to remove any trapped air and leave space for the sperm. Otherwise, the condom's more likely to break.

6) Putting it on wrong. Don't you hate when that happens? About 30% of people put it on inside out and don't realize that an inside-out condom is more likely to slip off (go peek at number 8 on this list). The safest thing to do? Start with a new one. The right way: The condom should look a little like a ski cap with the bottom edges rolled up (not under). The cap should fit over the penis so that the brim unrolls easily down the shaft. Any other way and it's a dunce cap.

7) Breaking the condom. About 29% of users report breakage. A large chunk of that is user error, not product defects, say researchers. In addition to the mistakes in numbers 1, 2, 5, and 6, add this: using oil-based lubricants (like petroleum jelly, face and body creams, and baby oil or mineral oil). These can make the latex pop. Instead, use kinder, gentler water-based or silicone lubricants (think glycerin or K-Y Jelly).

8) Slipping off during sex. The 13% who report slippage have many reasons, including, "It just didn't fit right." To find a good fit, buy a variety of styles and sizes (there really aren't that many choices) and try them at leisure. Remember, natural lambskin sounds nice and can prevent pregnancy, but it doesn't protect against the viruses that cause AIDS, hepatitis, and herpes. Only latex can do that.

9) Taking the condom off too soon. Duh, not a good idea. For the 15% of men who report doing this, losing an erection is a big reason. But erections can come and go during sex; besides, ejaculation can occur without an erection, bringing with it all the risks of pregnancy and STDs. (Here's what you need to know about healthy male sexual functioning.)

10) The biggest mistake of all: NOT using a condom. Don't let all these potential problems (or that ewww-y smell) turn you off to condoms or simply make you say, "Why bother?" Take a breath, get it right, and save your (sex) life

Health: Teen diagnosed with rare 'Stone Man Syndrome' in Shanghai

A 14-year-old Ni Mi from Sichuan province had been diagnosed of fibrodysplasia ossificans progressiva (FOP), also called Stone Man Syndrome, at Shanghai hospital on Monday.  An extremely rare disease that causes fibrous tissue to turn into bone.

Doctors at Tongji Hospital said it is a condition so rare there are only 600 known cases in the world.
The disorder, caused by a mutation of the body's repair mechanism, results in patients' muscles, tendons and ligaments becoming ossified. Injuries can cause the joints to become completely frozen, and surgery to remove the extra bone growth is impossible, as it results in the body attempting to "repair" the damaged area with more bone.
Tongji's Dr Zhang Keqin said patients with FOP usually die in their 40s, when the pressure on their lungs becomes too much and they can no longer breathe. He said that Ni's condition is not yet too serious and treatment should be able to delay the deterioration.
“The results should be seen in six months, when she’ll come back for a checkup," he told Shanghai Daily.
A new medicine for treating FOP is currently under trial in the US, and is expected to hit the market next year.

Taking Massage To A Different Level

Of all the ways to get a massage, 51 year-old Li Chia chooses to roll himself down 30 concrete steps every morning at Xi'an Changle Park to receive a thorough massage that addresses all the pressure points in his body.  He rocks himself back up to the top from the bottom of the stairs.

In his words as reported (odditycentral),
“I got the idea from rolling on pebbles at a health club, and when I couldn’t find any pebbles at my local park, I decided to try the stairs and was surprised to find it really works,” Chia explained. “I have always been a great fan of Chinese massage and the possibility that pressure points can do all sorts of things including relieving stress. After all, that’s why massage is so popular,” he said. “However, I don’t believe that any masseuse will be able to give me the sort of massage I get from the impact of the stairs. I find it’s a great way to relieve pressure and has all sorts of other health benefits as well.”

Li Chia has been practicing the odd massage technique for over three years, and he hasn’t had a single injury, not even a bruise. Li also happens to be a marathon runner and amateur motorcycle rider.

Kudos Li Chia!

The fun part of all is that Chia does not recommend that anyone else try it, because it does have a serious potential for injury. (seriously?)
