A woman is leaving her £1m fortune to her pet dog so she can continue to live a life of luxury.
Accountant Rose Ann Bolsany (pictured above left) said she is so in love with her Maltese terrier called Bella Mia (pictured left) that she has left her everything and cut her sons out of her will.
The three year old pampered pooch will inherit a fortune consisting of jewellery, a trust fund and even a holiday home.
Bolsany,60, said her pet dog is a "gift from God" and makes sure her every whim is catered for.
The Maltese eats filet mignon steak for dinner and has her own bedroom stocked with doggy outfits.
Bolsany from Queens, New York, said her sons are quite happy to be cut out of her will.
"My children are grown and successful. They don't need my money. They know how happy she has made my husband and I. We decided that we had given her such a lavish life that we wanted to make sure she's still have what she was accustomed to when I was gone."
Bolsany said Mia has a boyfriend - a Chihuahua called Bogie who bought her a £400 diamond necklace on Valentine's Day last year.
The three year old dog has won several competitions and was the first to win the New York Pet Fashion show two years running.
New York hotelier Leona Helmsley left pds8m to her Maltese dog in her will when she died in 2007.
A judge later reduced to amount to pds1.5m and the world's richest dog called Trouble died four years later at the age of 12.
