Saudi Arabia buries King Abdullah in an unmarked grave

The body of Saudia Arabia's King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, who died today at 1am Saudia Arabia's time has been laid to rest in an unmarked grave in Riyadh according to Islamic tradition this afternoon.

Family, friends and dignitaries from the Arab world crowded around the grave to pay their final respects following the monarch's funeral this afternoon. Also, Thousands of mourners took to the streets of the capital and Mecca to pay their respects to the late king. 

The royal died aged 90 after losing his battle with pneumonia. Some world leaders including Qatar's Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani and Turkey's President Tayyip Erdoganhave were at the funeral. Meanwhile many others world learders are expected to visit the royal family in condolence. There were also Armed Saudi troops, who were on heavy guard as dignitaries arrived at the ceremony in Riyadh. See more pics after the cut...
