Identity of a Man, Who jumped off Third Mainland Bridge to His death Revealed

A man, who jumped off the Third Mainland Bridge to his death in the early hours of yesterday, Jan. 29th has been identified as Okechukwu Ezeigbo. Mr. Ezeigbo drowned in the Lagoon after taking a dive from the top of the Bridge on Thursday, in Lagos.
According to reports , Okechukwu is said to hail from The Imo State. He was among several commuters in a commercial bus heading towards Obalende, on the Lagos Island area when the he suddenly asked the driver of the bus to stop, he alighted, took off his shoes and took the deadly dive into the Lagoon before anyone could realise what was going on.
The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority, LASTMA came to the scene of the incident, sought the help of fishermen in the area and brought the victim out. But he was already dead.

Police Public Relations Officer, Kenneth Nwosu, confirmed the incident, said that the police had contacted his relatives. Preliminary investigation showed that the victim had mental problem and had been taken to a church located along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway,for prayers before he escaped. 
“The relatives said they did not know how he left the place and joined a public transport. The police have recovered the corpse and deposited in a morgue” Nwosu added.
