The 43-year-old Amaju Pinnick has been named the new President of NFF-Nigeria Football Federation.
Pinnick, who is the Delta State Sports Commission chairman, Delta FA boss and Warri Wolves chairman, had 32 votes to emerge winner in the second round of voting. The election was held today-September 30, at Golden Tulip Hotel, Warri.
Out of the seven contestants, Dominic Iorfa from Imo received eight votes while Taiwo Ogunjobi-from Osun-got four votes. Shehu Dikko from Kaduna withdrew his candidacy, Aminu Maiguri ruled himself out of the race; others include Amanze Uchegbulam from Imo, Mike Umeh from Anambra, Abba Yola from Kano.
