Girl Falls to her Death after Boyfriend Proposed to Her on top of a Cliff

Please dear guys, as much as we love you to us the most amazing "Will You Marry Me" proposals of our lives; we also need you to do it in safe locations. So no girl falls to her death out of excitement. Ladies, have I spoken well?

A holidaymaker died in Ibiza after falling over a cliff as she celebrated a marriage proposal from her boyfriend. 

Police say she lost her balance as she jumped up and down in excitement after her partner asked for her hand in marriage. 

The pair, from Bulgaria, were at a beauty spot famed for its sunset views. Dimitrina Dimitrova, 29, suffered a heart attack brought on by injuries caused by the 65ft fall in the tiny resort of Cala Tarida on Ibiza's west coast. She was alive but unconscious when paramedics arrived but died at the scene minutes later. 

The incident happened around lunchtime on Tuesday. A local Civil Guard spokesman said: 'Everything is pointing towards the death being the result of a tragic freak accident.' 

A source added: 'Her boyfriend lived and worked on Ibiza. She had arrived two days earlier to visit him and look for work. 'She fell seconds after her partner surprised her by proposing to her as she jumped up and down with emotion.' 

It is believed the dead woman's devastated waiter boyfriend had singled out the beauty spot to make his marriage proposal. 

Last August a Polish couple fell to their deaths while taking a selfie at a cliff's edge in the popular tourist spot Cabo da Roca, Portugal. Their children, aged five and six, witnessed the accident and were taken into care before returning to their homeland to live with relatives. 

Malaysia officially declares MH370 passengers and crew 'presumed dead'

After a long unfruitful search for the missing MH370 Malaysia Airlines flight along with the 239 people on-board since March 8, 2014, the government of Malaysia has officially declared all of its passengers and crew presumed dead. As well as the loss of the Malaysia Airlines flight 370 an accident. Though the search for the missing Boeing 777 will continue.

The civil aviation director Azharuddin Abdul Rahman made the formal declaration today, Thursday, Jan. 29th in order to allow the families of those presumed dead to go on with all compensation process with the airline or with insurers.

It shows how an embittered loser in the Nigerian political space can get so derailed that they commit intellectual harakiri by deliberately misquoting economic facts and maliciously turning statistics on their head to justify a hatchet job. We hope all the intellectuals in the international circles in which Professor Soludo has told us he flies around in will read what a Professor of Economics has chosen to do with his intellect.

In this one article Soludo has shamelessly pandered to so many past leaders that Nigerians are asking one more time – what position is Soludo gunning for now? He claims in his article that he has had his own share of public service, yet he has failed twice in his attempts to be Governor of Anambra State and Vice Presidential candidate of various parties. There is definitely an issue of character with Prof. Charles Soludo and his desperate search for power and relevance in Nigeria. Nigerians should therefore beware of so-called intellectuals without character and wisdom because this combination is fatal.

Mum Slashes Throats Of Her 3 Crying Children with Kitchen Knife to Keep Them Quiet

A woman, who is an Army wife was arrested for slashing the throats of her two-year-old daughter and six-month-old twins said she tried to kill her crying babies so they wouldn’t disturb her husband, who she said 'gets very annoyed' whenever they make noise.   

According to Daily Mail Christina Booth, 29, said she hit ‘breaking point’ when she put her children to bed and all three began crying at her home in Olympia, Washington.

And Mrs Booth, who suffers from postpartum depression, told police that she went downstairs and grabbed a kitchen knife before slashing their throats because her husband, Army Staff Sergeant Thomas Booth, got ‘very annoyed when the children cry’ and if she killed the children ‘the house would be quiet for Thomas’.

Arrest Tompolo, Asari, others now - Gen T.Y Danjuma

Former Minister of Defence Gen T.Y Danjuma has requested that Pres. Jonathan should order the immediate arrest of Asari Dokubo, Government Tompolo and other Niger Delta ex-militants who declared that they would destabilise the country if the president does not win next month's presidential election.

Speaking in an interview at the North West University, Kano shortly after commissioning the Kwankwasiyya City built by the Kano state government yesterday, January 28th Danjuma said the militants must be punished for making such unguarded utterances which could throw the nation into chaos.

"The statements were very reckless coming from irresponsible individuals and they should be condemned, in fact they should be arrested" he said. 

5 family members die of 'drugs overdose' to escape 'apocalypse''

A couple and three of their children were found dead at home after taking a cocktail of drugs in a tragic 'murder-suicide' - to escape "the evil in the world".

Benjamin and Kristi Strack and three of their children, Benson, 14, Emery, 12, and Zion, 11, were found dead in Springville, Utah on September 27 2014. 

On Tuesday police said they often discussed religiously-held notions of the apocalypse &orchestrated a multi-drug suicide using methadone and other medication.

I need to preface this article with a few clarifications. I have taken a long sabbatical leave from partisan politics, and it is real fun watching the drama from the balcony.  Having had my own share of public service (I do not need a job from government), I now devote my time and energy in pursuit of other passions, especially abroad. A few days ago, I read an article in Thisday entitled “Where is Charles Soludo?”, and my answer is that I am still there, only that I have been too busy with extensive international travels to participate in or comment on our national politics and economy.

But I occasionally follow events at home. Since the survival and prosperity of Nigeria are at stake, the least some of us (albeit, non-partisan) must do is to engage in public debate. As the elections approach, I owe a duty to share some of my concerns.

40-year-old Yasmin Eleby Marries Herself - She's not the first, looks like its a becoming a trend these days

 

Yasmin Eleby-40, has married herself in a dream wedding complete with a fabulous candlelit ceremony and heartfelt vows to forgive, honor and love herself.

Ex-Super Eagles Keeper, Wilfred Agbonavbare, dies of cancer

The former Super Eagles goalkeeper, Wilfred Agbonavbare has died. Wilfred finally lost his battle against cancer today, Tuesday Jan. 27th at a Spanish hospital were he was receiving treatment.

48-year-old Agbonavbare, is said was initially treated in Florida, United States, before he was transferred to the Prince of Asturias Hospital in Alcalá de Henares. 

It's heart breaking to know that Agbonavbare’s three children are now orphans as his wife died of breast cancer three years ago after gulping all their earnings.

Facebook and Instagram shot down worldwide by hackers

The two giant social media (Facebook and Instagram) owned by Mark Zuckerberg were down worldwide for an hour today at around 6am GMT. Hackers from the online group Lizard Squad have claimed responsibility for the attack.

Both sites, which have a total of 1.5billion users appeared with error messages in the United States, Europe and Asia.

According to reports, the Lizard Squad is a group of hackers, which used social media to recruit and spread its message, as well have caused havoc in the online world before, taking credit for attacks that took down the Sony PlayStation Network and Microsoft's Xbox Live network last month.

5-year-old Rafeeq Atanda finally deported to Nigeria by UK despite high profile campaign to keep him

Rafeeq Atanda-5, who is a schoolboy and whose mum Bola Fatumbi and other UK sympathizers pleaded that UK should show mercy and allow him stay considering the state of his health as well as the country where He would be deported to is where He had never lived has finally been flown to Nigeria on Friday night, Jan, 23rd, along with his mum.(read here)

Rafeeq and his mum Bola were deported despite a high profile campaign to prevent the move. Even an 11th hour appeal from Gateshead MP Ian Mearns and calls for him to remain in the country from campaigners did not change UK's decision.

Boko Haram Frees Over 200 Women, Children In Yobe

 

Dreaded Islamists terrorist group Boko Haram  has released over 200 women and children earlier captured in Yobe state.

According to reports, a total of 192 people were released on Friday from two Islamist enclaves, where they had been kept since a January 6 raid on Katarko, 12 miles from the state capital Damaturu. In all, 218 women and children were abducted. 

Speaking to AFP, Goni Mari, a Katarko community leader said 192 women kidnapped early this month was released by the Islamic group, Boko Haram, who brought them back in four trucks and dropped them at Girbuwa village.

"Boko Haram have released 192 of our women they kidnapped early this month. They brought them in two batches in four trucks and dropped them at Girbuwa village, eight kilometres from Damaturu, from where we conveyed them to the city and they were taken into government custody." Goni told AFP from Damaturu. 

Police arrest two rams for attacking 65-year-old woman in Ekiti

Its so funny that I can't just stop laughing. Why would the police arrest any animal? Are they not supposed to arrest the owner of the animal for not keeping them away from harming any human within the area(s) where they are being reared? Read to report below...enjoy...

 

  

The Ekiti state police command has arrested two rams in Ado-Ekiti for attacking a 65 year old woman identified as Iya Oyo. 

According to Iya Oyo, she on her way to a commercial bank in Okesa area with her son on Monday to debit her account when two rams allegedly owned by a manager of a petrol station in the area went berserk and gored her, fracturing her right thigh in the process. She said the attack immediately brought her to the ground, causing her to become unconscious till she found herself at a traditional orthopedic clinic where she regained consciousness. 

Sammy Okposo Publicly Apologizes After Insulting Buhari For Forging His School Certificate

 

Award-winning gospel musician and producer Sammie Okposo has publicly apologize to the All Progressives Congress presidential candidate, Muhammadu Buhari, for his recent remarks accusing Buhari of perjury and of forging the school certificates (read here). In his earlier remarks on Instagram, Mr. Okposo said that whoever that forged the certificate or Buhari himself should be flogged. But angry fans didn't see that comment appropriate as they lashed on Sammy on social media, which led him to apologize to GBM and all others who he must have offended with through his post on Buhari's certificate forgery.
