Bollywood star Gauahar Khan (pictured clasping hand to cheek) was left distressed after a man in the audience at a singing TV competition she was presenting on Sunday November 30th got up and slapped her for wearing a revealing dress at Film City in Goregaon, Mumbai.
24 year old Akil Malik, took offence at Khan’s backless outfit as she presented the grand finale of Raw Star--a singing competition. He first started by arguing with the model but finally made his way up on stage and slapped the Gauahar as security tried to escort him off the venue. (watch the video after the cut)...
According to Indian police, Malik said that as a Muslim woman, Gauahar should not have dressed the way she did. “Being a Muslim woman, she should not have worn such a dress,” he is quoted to have said.
