Geoffrey Oji wins MTN Project Fame season 7

                      
The Benue-born Geoffery Oji has been crowned the winner of the prestigious MTN Project Fame - Season 7.

Geoffrey has been an exceptional performer, who stood out for his vocal quality and consistently showed mastery and character, traits that astounded Paul ‘Play’ Dairo who described him as a superstar. Some of his many great performances were the renditions of Majek Fashek’s “Genesis”, Tuface’s “Only Me” and Bob Dylan’s “Knocking on Heaven’s Door”.

With the whooping winning prize of N5m, an SUV and a recording contract, the journey to greatness is within his grasp.  He is now a member of the extraordinary superstars like Iyanya, Chidinma, Praiz and more. 

Speaking shortly after he was unveiled, Geoffery said, “Truly, grace has brought me this far; my fans and MTN have been supportive and I can only promise better years ahead”.

Geoffrey, Christian, Emeka, Clement, Daniella, Ruky, Ugo and Debbie earned the viewers highest votes to contest for the highest prizes. Amongst which, Ruky emerged the first runner up and received N3m and a car; Christian emerged the second runner-up with a winning prize of N2m and a car. Clement received N2m for taking the third runner-up position. While the rest of the contestants received between N1m and N5, 000, 000.


The Grand Finale ceremony was spiced with electrifying performances from Nigerian dance queen, Kaffy. The who-is-who that graced the occasion include; Mr. Peter Adeoye, Dr. Michael Onyia, Alhaji Yusuf Abubakar, Alhaji Muhammed Bintube and Mrs. Biodun Olujimi, amongst many others.

Meet the 9-year old ‘Romanian Hercules’


A nine-year-old Giuliano Stroe, nicknamed the 'Romanian Hercules,' has been dubbed the ‘world’s strongest boy’.

Muscle-bound Giuliano, sent friends videos of himself performing astonishing 90 degree push-ups before starting Year 5 at school. He and his 7-year old younger brother Claudiu, are known for their PE prowess and both have been pumping iron since before they could walk. Also they undergo a grueling two hour weight-training sessions seven days a week. Thanks to their keep-fit-mad dad Lulian, 35, and mum Ileana.

Lulian said, Giuliano was very excited about going back to school and wanted to show his friends he hasn't been slacking during the holidays.

The boys, from Icoana, southern Romania are considered to be the world’s strongest boy bodybuilders.

Giuliano has an official YouTube channel and has already broken two world records for 90-degree vertical push-ups and another, holding on to a pole like a human flag.

Pastor 'turns petrol into pineapple juice'

Controversial Pastor Lesego Daniel, who shot to fame after allowing members of his church to eat grass; has again demonstrated his 'miraculous' power by having his congregation drink petrol which he claimed he turned into pineapple juice.

He demonstrated this at one of his services at Rabboni Center Ministries in Pretoria, by having a church member pour petrol into a basin and set it alight - proving it was flammable.

The first willing taster said: "It has a lot of fumes but I don't have any side effects."  

Not withstanding the dangers of petrol consumption according to health experts, ranging from being poisonous and very harmful, extreme fatigue, dizziness, unconsciousness,  lung problems and damage to the lining of the throat.
The pastor claims it tastes sweet like pineapple and Iron Brew.

Bridal gown measuring 4,100 metres in record-breaking bid


Mirror-Dress makers have rolled out one of the World's longest bridal gowns - measuring 4,100 metres in a bid to set a new Guinness World Record.

The dress was worn by a model,  out for miles over a flower field in Chengdu,  South West China while Workers at Xiangxunshangu stretched the extra material.

The wedding dress is 1.5 meters in width, measures 1,123 metres longer than the current gown holding the record and comes in at a pricey cost of around 40,000 CNY - almost £40,000.


Much Ado about iPhone 6: Girlfriend for Rent


A Chinese man Wei Chu-25, has offered to 'rent' his girlfriend out to other men for just £1 an hour, so that he can raise money to buy the latest model of iPhone.
He was photographed standing outside Songjiang University, Shanghai holding a 'Girlfriend Sharing' advertising board and invited interested passers-by to log on to a nearby wifi network in order to check out images of his girlfriend Xiao Ai-21. 

Wei, who claimed his girlfriend was a willing participants in  the scheme also insists 'no funny business' can take place on dates but focused around dinner and studying. His offer is broken into various pricing categories to cover all potential customers various lengths of time: £1 an hour, £5 per day and £50 per month.

'Service items include but are not restricted to: eating together, studying together, saving seats (in libraries/classrooms), three-person dates. Fees generated during dates should be split,' his placard read. 
Interested individuals were given a short biography of the man's girlfriend, including details on her height, weight and hobbies.
Wei Chu isn't the first to take to one extreme method of raising money to pay for the latest iPhone installment.
A Saudi Arabian man has asked his future brother-in-law for an iPhone 6 as a dowry for marrying his sister, according to the International Business Times. 
Also, while following the launch of the iPhone 5 last year, a Chinese couple were charged with human trafficking after admitting selling three of their newborn babies for £8,000 between 2008 and 2013 in order to pay for luxury items including an iPhone.

Organs from 3-year-old donor save 5 people


This is so touching.

A three-year-old girl in Jiangxi who died of a brain tumor helped save the lives of five other people when her heart, liver, kidneys and corneas were donated.
Her family visited multiple hospitals after she was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor earlier this year; but doctors said that her condition was too far progressed and she couldn't be saved. But was confined to a hospital bed after her head began swelling.
The parents decided they should discuss with their daughter the possibility of donating her organs.
"I didn't think she would quite understand the word 'donation' at first, I tried to explain that if we would give something from her body, she could save the lives of others. She agreed to this," her father, Liu Xiaobao, said.
She passed away on Tuesday after her physical condition deteriorated considerably. All five different patients awaiting organs, who had successful organs transplanted into them soon after her death are all in stable condition.

Rest in peace the young Hero. 

China: Henan primary school has 32 sets of twins


A Primary School in Lingbao, Henan province, has 32 sets of twins among the 4,000 pupils, as recently counted by the headmaster while checking students' information. 

According to him, 11 out of the 32 sets are pigeon pairs ( male and female siblings). And the number of twins is expected to set new record in recent years.
