Queen awards Angelina Jolie an Honorary Damehood

   
The actress and humanitarian icon-Angelina Jolie has been made an honorary dame by the Queen for her services to UK foreign policy and the campaign to end sexual violence. 

Angelina, who looked chic in a pale coat and skirt, received the Insignia of an Honorary Dame Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of St. Michael and St. George from the Queen-as Real and showbiz royalty collided with the Queen in the grand 1844 room, Buckingham palace's.

As reported by Daily Mirror, a source said: “Initially the Queen presented the insignia to Angelina alone and after the private audience both Mr Brad Pitt and all children were presented to the Queen.”

Though she is not entitled to call herself a Dame because she is a foreign citizen, but she can put the letters DCMG after her name. 

The "Tomb Raider" Star-Angelina, who has been known for her relentless humanitarian activities said, “To receive an honour related to foreign policy means a great deal to me, as it is what I wish to dedicate my working life to. Working on PVSI and with survivors of rape is an honour in itself. 
“I know that succeeding in our goals will take a lifetime, and I am dedicated to it for all of mine.”
