Gen. Buhari Officially Declared Winner Of 2015 Presidential Election By INEC Chairman

 

The final total figures are finally here.

As announced by Prof Attahiru Jega, chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission at the International Conference Centre,  Abuja eariler this morning...

"14 candidates, fielded by 14 political parties participated in the election. We'd like to announce the votes for each party"

Acredited voters - 31,756,490

APC - 15,424,921

NCP - 24, 455

PDP - 12,853,162

Total valid votes - 28,587,564

Rejected votes - 844, 519

Total - 29,432,083

However, while we congratulate Gen. Buhari for his victory and President Jonathan for his bold and graceful acceptance of defeat; we should also Thank Prof. Jega for the Work well done.  All party agents representing the 14 different political parties that contested for the Presidential election were called up by INEC Chairman Prof. Jega to sign the election sheet after announcing the presidential election results, except for the agent for PDP, who climbed the stage, spoke with Prof. Jega, shook his hands and walked away without signing the result sheet while others did.
